Amazon.com Review
Zen masters never said, "You must learn as much as you can about your Pokémon," but Professor Oak certainly did. The grand teacher of Pokémon introduces this handy book about the Japanese craze that took over America in the form of a video game, trading cards, and a popular TV show. The handbook--written as if the young reader were a Pokémon trainer like Ash, Misty, and Brock--teaches kids which cards are the best to win a game and illuminates the stories behind the TV show. Geared to young readers, this engaging, colorful book is not for the Pokémon expert who has copious spreadsheets of statistics. You'll find fun facts about each Pokémon (Charmander is two feet tall and its element is fire, in case you didn't know), a clear guide to the evolution of certain characters, and a helpful pronunciation guide (great for parents). The book could have used a pictorial index of all 150 characters, but that won't stop fans from wearing out this handbook during their adventures as a Pokémon trainer. --Doug Thomas

Wonderful, and Complete Details on Pokemon!
I bought it for my children and almost wished I had one for myself! It gives you so much information on these cute little characters. It's very creative.
The pokemon handbook
I really liked this book it definately helped me to learn the names of the pokemon. The only bad thing about it is in the book it mentions Mew as the rarest pokemon in the world but it dosn't show you him.And it also gives you some hints on the game.
It's sooooooo cool!
I love this book! It has some awsome info on all Pokémon, especialy Pikachu! Also, I love the VERY VERY VERY CUTE pic Pika! Plus, I love the EXTRA BIG (AND I MEAN BIG! ) Pics, too! The ONLY ONLY thing I don't like about it is the price! I'm asking these two things though: can you please PLEASE (if you can)make books one for each pokémon, and (if you can) tell the pokémon game makers to make pokémon games for other systems too (super nitendo, playstaion)? I would LOVE that! I am going to become a pokémon trainer (I'm 12) Thanks!
