Mastering depression without drugs - it's possible5
This book is a wonderful "how to" for people who want to take charge of their emotional condition. It explains how to master depression by learning to spot when a depressive episode is beginning and then cutting it off at the knees by diverting one's thinking at once--not by taking a medication. Given a reader with the determination to be in charge and the willingness to learn how, this can be a wonderfully liberating book. It's written in clear language. It's based on the simple fact that a person can only think one thought at a time...and the author explains how, by "switching" one's thinking at key times from an emotional context to a non-emotion context, the chemical imbalance of depression can be avoided. For that matter, this is a technique that can work for all of us as we struggle with the stresses of life--when negative thoughts start to bring us down, we can also brainswitch until a more positive mood is reestablished. And thinking positively, and being happy, extend life.

It does work!!5
This simple how-to book is an immense help getting a bird's eye view of how your brain works. This allows you to "switch" from one thought to another, which empowers you to "feel" good. You can practice and learn to manipulate your own thoughts to get out of depression and anxiety quickly. I have found that the simpler excercises are great stress-relievers for daily frustrations, including traffic and bickering children.

Anyone can tell you 'what' to do - this book shows you 'how' to do

It is a simple thing to think a neutral or nonsense thought when you are in the agony of depression. But it is not so easy to do. The other 299 pages is to help you do it.

Anyone with knowledge of mental health, either personal or having worked with individuals suffering from mental illness, know that there is so much more to it than to just think a neutral thought. BRAINSWITCH offers those suffering from depression a wonderful tool to walk them through the process.
