From the Back Cover
Make anger your ally, not your enemy. Anger isn't wrong in itself--it's the way we use and express it that can be labeled right or wrong. You can learn to channel your anger in a positive way and make it a strength, a way of standing up for yourself and promoting change. Getting the Best of Your Anger helps you take charge, whether you need to use anger less frequently or more powerfully. Dr. Les Carter explains: • what anger is and why we experience it • how to identify your level of anger • behaviors that make anger an enemy • how to express anger in constructive ways • how to argue fairly Don't let anger get the best of you. With the guidance in this book, you can learn to control the emotions you've been given. "Dr. Carter's recommendations for getting anger under control are biblically accurate and psychologically sound. Too much God talk puts the reader off the book entirely.
I really wanted to like this book. Dr. Carter has the potential to be a good writer. Some passages show that he has a pleasant writing style, but there are two glaring problems: Bible references and poor grammar/editing. There is nothing about the title or cover of this book to indicate that it is a religious text. Personally, I don't care for all the bible references, and found it unnecessary to read comparisons with the apostles or various bible characters. Many of Dr. Carter's bible examples do not have anything to do with the subject of anger management. The book is peppered with statements like, "God have humans the gift of..." and it is off-putting to a non-Christian reader. Also, that is one of my big pet peeves, bad editing: It is incorrect grammar to talk about "humans." The correct usage is to refer to "Human beings." Speaking about "humans" implies that the author is not one! As it stands, the book was simply too annoying to read more than a couple chapters. The author seems well versed in his subject, but I just couldn't stand the writing style.

So it has a few mistakes. Keep in mind if you were already angry about something why would you read this book. It helped me because of anger. I hate my local town governmentfor forced annexation as described in [...]
I started wishing they all my enemies had inoperable rectal brain caner. I read the I ching and demonic books of spells but it was hurting me, not them. This book help me turn my anger into action and positive results. It may not give them rectal cancer but my lawyer say it may give them indigestion.
Read this book and get over it. Don't mad get even, but keep it biblical. I now pray for a miracle like the times of Moses; let God help you, he said " vengeance is mine" and I am letting him and 5 lawyers work it out. Perhaps rectal cancer is still possible but let God do it and let your anger go. God does not play well with others and is merciless on the evil people who harm his flock. Lexington NC has touched the pupil of his eye ans god is faithful and will generously reward them according to their fruit.
