This book is very meaningful to me personally. I searched for years to find a way to capture the main currents of the Course's system. After many different attempts, I finally came upon the sixteen-point outline that forms the backbone of this book.

About the Author
Robert Perry has been a student of A Course in Miracles (ACIM) since 1981. He taught at Miracle Distribution Center in California from 1986 to 1989, and in 1993 founded the Circle of Atonement in Sedona, Arizona. The Circle is an organization composed of several teachers dedicated to helping establish the Course as an authentic spiritual tradition. One of the most respected voices on ACIM, Robert has traveled extensively, speaking throughout the U.S. and internationally. In addition to contributing scores of articles to various Course publications, he is the author or co-author of twenty books and booklets, including Path of Light: Stepping into Peace with 'A Course in Miracles.' Robert's goal has always been to provide a complete picture of what the Course is--as a thought system and as a path meant to be lived in the world on a daily basis--and to support students in walking along that path.

A must read for ACIM readers
Return to the Heart of God is by far the best book I've ever read about A Course in Miracles, and I've read many. It would've been so helpful having the teachings in this book prior to, or even during, my first time through ACIM however, I'm now actually looking forward to reading ACIM again with the new found understanding that Robert Perry provides in this book.

Normally I read books then pass them along or sell them here on Amazon, but Return to the Heart of God is one of the very rare books that are staying right here with me.

Robert Perry makes the Course in Miracles easy to understand with his scholar's approach to the work. He has been a serious student of the Course which is evident in his discussions and explanations. As I read I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude for his contribution to this material.

Another Gift to the Heart from the Heart
Robert Perry is certainly one of, and probably the clearest writer on A Course in Miracles in the field today. This book is fabulous, a clean, clear, precise look at the philosophy of ACIM, which is perhaps the one new, yet authentic teaching to come out of the New Age of the 60's and 70's.

I've read broadly in the Perennial Philosophy field for a quarter of a century. I was raised a Christian fundamentalist, studied with the Tibetans, sat with Zen practitioners, and have thoroughly explored the teachings of the neo-Advaitans. There is no doubt in my mind that ACIM is a genuine Revealed Scripture, and I believe Robert Perry and his Circle of Atonement to be authentic voices of that scripture.

While I'm not sure that I agree with 100% of what Mr. Perry writes and thinks, I find far more commonality than I do difference. A diamond viewed from a slightly different vantage point is still a diamond.

To top off his scholarship, Perry is simply a fine writer. We certainly need more of that in the field of spirituality in general and the Course in particular. There is an awful lot of junk out there in regard to the Course. If you're drowning, come here for fresh air.
