Average customer review:Product Description
Diamond Supra unleashes the highest performance SupraMax modems with newly adopted ITU, V.92 and V.44 compression standards. SupraMax gives you the advantages of extensive analog access to the Internet with an added boost of speed over earlier standards. These improvements includes accelerated upstream data transfers (up to 40% faster), faster Internet dial-up connection times using an intelligent start-up sequence, and advanced compression algorithms that let you send common file type (such as HTML, e-mail, and executable files) more efficiently. The new Modem-On-Hold feature lets you receive incoming voice calls without dropping your current modem connections. And, because the SupraMax V.92 is backward compatible with V.90 and earlier standards, you can relax and enjoy faster Internet speeds without worry. (For more information on V.92 features, please see below.)

Inexpensive modem card
I ordered this Diamond brand because my $80 US Robotics modem wasn't working and never really did. Hooked this up in minutes to the PCI slot, installed software, ran some kind of installation files, and bang! Windows picked it up immediately, so that now I have this modem as a Printer, and can easily send anything from my 'puter to any fax machine. Plus the recipients have told me that it is much clearer than my MFC fax. ouldn't ask for more.
Worked as advertised with no problems
I bought this modem to retrofit a older computer to make it last a while longer. The product installed easily, but the documentation is not very helpful. In fact, it was quite confusing in that the documentation covers all Best Data modem products, and the drivers for all products as well. If you are installing this to work with Windows 98 as I was, then expect to fumble around a bit with the driver choices.
Nevertheless, I was able to get the modem working quickly and flawlessly despite the confusion. I haven't had a problem since.
It is worth the price, and I would purchase another if necessary.
works fine
this modem works fine had no trouble with installation on xp and its worked fine since i installed it. i recently switched to broadband so i do use right now, but its there if i need it again.
