| I homeschooled from 1990-2000, and scattered years since according to my kids' needs. My Montessori background equipped me as an expert of sorts in the preschool years and I still offer workshops on teaching young children at home. Other than that, I started out like every homeschool mother, feeling somewhat overwhelmed and wondering whether I was really up to the task God called me to. Now, 19 years later, I appreciate the availability of a vast array of curricula and materials: it's because God did not make us from a cookie cutter. He has different plans for each of his children - sometimes even children within the same family. Always remember, you are the best teacher your child could ever have - even if you choose to delegate your child's education, you need to think of yourself as in the driver's seat! And you may enjoy exploring yourself. Enjoy! I've linked here to materials we've used and enjoyed over the years. While currently this is random, one of these days I may find time to categorize it. | ||
