Pretty nice for the price.
Pros: This frame has good resolution and a decent size viewable area (10.4"). I like the 4:3 aspect. I converted all my pictures for viewing to a 800 x 600 high quality size, which made them smaller so I could get hundreds of pictures on a 1 geg SD card. The transition effects are nice (but no shuffle mode). The transitions run too fast unless you have music running with them, which you can turn all the way down if you don't want to hear it (minor problem). In slide show mode you have 3, 10, 30, and 60 second viewing options, which is pretty good. My wife said "why don't they have 5 seconds; wouldn't you know...

If you need a reasonably priced frame with good resolution that is simple enough to use for viewing your digital photos, this one is pretty decent. It is far better than the first frame I bought for about the same price in which I returned (not an Amazon purchase).

Cons: The frame only plays very low quality (small file size) movies, and it seems it will only play AVI/MP3 file format. I have to convert my movies from my camera using video conversion software. No big deal, but still the files have to be in only barely tolerable viewing quality format in order to run on the frame, and then they're jumpy (unless you don't have sound). If you don't care about movies, this won't matter. I imagine that most people will probably forget the movie mode altogether once they realize these problems.

The options for setting up and viewing files are very limited. In slide show mode you cannot forward or reverse to see next or previous picture. If you stop the slide show everything defaults back to the beginning, including the music. There is no way of independently controlling music and picture viewing. Again, it is very limited.

The instructions are not too great either, although it doesn't take too much tinkering to get the frame figured out.

The speakers are very tinny, so they're only good for low volume background effects.

All things considered, I would recommend this frame for simple picture viewing. Yes, it is great for Grandma too! Personally, I can't wait until digital frames are up to speed with the rest of the electronics industry, with more and better options at a much lower price! Digital frames seem to be way behind the times in a world flooded with advanced technology.

Good frame, horrible instructions
This isn't a bad frame for the money (although when we purchased it from Amazon, it was only $124.99). The quality is good, the size is large enough for a home display. The instructions are absolutely horrible - they make no sense, and aren't correct when you do make heads or tails out of them. Not good for someone who is technically challenged because they couldn't even use the directions to figure it out. The maximum transition time is 60 secs, so if you're looking for a frame that will cycle through one an hour, then this one isn't for you. The only other disappointment is that it doesn't play the photos at random. I realize now that most on the market don't, but random play is a good feature if you have lots of photos on a memory card. By the way, there is no internal memory, so you will need a memory card. I would still recommend it for someone looking for a reasonably priced larger frame with good quality - just not for the person who can't set their VCR clock :-).

Nice Screen, Good Potential but ours buggy and broke
I ordered two of these from an Amazon approved retailer and they came fast, in time for Xmas. My parents noticed right away they were missing a power cord/adapter. The vendor (name starts with Electronica) refused to service the product, told us to call the manufacturer. We did contact the MFG and they actually sent us the missing adapter. All was good, the unit was looking good and working. After a few weeks however, the one I gave to my wife started acting up, the display would go all bezerk and finally after a few days it was completely broken. At first EA would not take back and tried then to get us to pay a restocking fee, only after I threatened to make a scathing review of their crappy policies on my Amazon review survey did I get satisfaction on that unit.

My parents screen is now showing a red line through the middle of the screen. The units also do not seem to recognize more than one input source such as a flash drive AND a CF card, you only get one or the other on our units. As others have mentioned, the manual is funny but not very readable or enlightening.

I'm waiting for newer units that have these little issue worked out and less cost. My 19" widescreen computer monitor only cost $149, so these should not be so expensive.
