Unbelievable
I cannot tell you how amazing this album is. As you listen to every piece, it is like going to a different attraction at a carnival. The sound effects are incredible. It feels like the creatures are either behind you or flying past you. My favorite pieces are After Hours, Nightmare Parade, Madame Endora, Spellbound, Cries in the Night, Haunted Carousel, Theatre of Sorrows, Snake charmer, and Pandora's Music Box. There is a concealed track on here at the end of Storm. It has another chilling prediction from Madame Endora, the remains of the carnival and the souls imprisoned there, and a heavy metal version of Spellbound which had me, well, spellbound. I hope you will treasure this album.

Come to the Carnival
This is the only Nox Arcana CD that I have so far and it is a very pleasing program of creepy, atmospheric music. First of all, the cover art is very effective, particularly if, like me, you are fond of the macabre. The tracks are well-thought out and differ from each other nicely. For example, the Snake Charmer track has an Eastern feel and although not typically sinister is a good interlude. The sound effects are used effectively and not over-used, allowing the music to set the mood. There is a good use of a chorus, as in tracks like Pandora's Music Box, where the voices turn from singing to moaning. I agree with John Rossi on the enjoyment of the CD and his review is by far the most descriptive review here.
This is a great CD for playing around Halloween but anytime you want something sinister Carnival of Lost Souls is a good choice.
