Average customer review:Product Description
A voltage converter changes the voltage of an electrical power source and is usually combined with other components to create a power supply. The term "voltage converter" is sometimes used as a generic term for a power supply. A voltage converter or a power supply may be called a "transformer" even if it does not contain an actual transformer as the term is used in electronics

Customer Reviews
Only one adapter
Could be my own error, but when looking at the photo and the marketing images, I assumed I was to receive 2 adapters. Surprised when only one showed up. The device is what I was looking for, just not the quantity.
Very Useful, A LIttle Overpriced
Many electronic devices use direct current (DC) and come with an adapter to convert from alternating or household current (eg. AC-DC converter). Most AC-DC adapters work just as well in Europe or Japan as they do in the US; that is they don't care what the input voltage is (Note: the allowed input voltages are indicated on the adapter).
However, the adapters will not fit in foreign electrical sockets because the prongs are different. With this little plug adapter I was able to send a preloaded digital picture frame that I purchased in the US (off of Amazon.com) to my grandparents in Europe. All they had to do was just had to plug it in the wall using the adapter I sent along with it.
I think $2.50 for a piece of plastic and two metal prongs is a little steep, but it was much less than ordering the same product from Amazon.co.uk shipping it to the US, and then back to Europe. Not to mention simpler than the third alternative of sending an empty picture frame and memory card or CD to my grandparents.
This is a very useful but likely underrated little adapter.
