The real Jay and Silent Bob are stunned by the news and then shattered to find out they are being badmouthed on the internet for selling their story. There’s only one shot at salvaging their slacker reputations: head to Hollywood to sabotage the production.

James R. Adams : Not a fan, so his review is inaccurate
If you don't appreciate the Kevin Smith Films to date, don't bother reading this. If you saw the film, and can't get enough of it, then this book is ideal. Buying this book and expecting under 200 "F" words or an apology for the language, one must be either unaquainted with the title characters or any of their exploits from 5 DVD's and numerous other print sources, or simply naive. Religious zealots will not enjoy much of this script, as many do not find humor based on oral sex and nuns funny. The irreverant tone is what makes the film, and this book is just the same in a hard copy. If you missed some of the jokes, inside or not, in print they can become more clear. Marshall Willenholly, for example is not only the Law enforcement officer chasing our heroes, but also the three first names of the family in Land of the Lost. Jokes like that can be detected more clearly in this easy to read and understand format. I cannot recommend it enough.

The best script of the summer
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back has become a soon-to-be classic among independent comedies. Kevin Smith has establish himself as being a take no prisoner writer/director. Having all of his characters returning for this final chapter in the New Jersey Chronicles is not only a treat, but a pretty sweet fairwell.

A must-read for any aspiring Kevin Smith fanboy
I watched Jay and Silent Bob without ever seen any of the previous Kevin Smith films (Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Clerks, etc.) and found it to be genuinely entertaining. Going back to see it now after watching his other films makes it even more entertaining for the inside jokes. Kevin Smith is no doubt one of the great minds in Hollywood (or New Jersey at least), and gives moviegoers something they have sorely been missing for a long time ... dialogue. Yeah, those exchanges between characters on the screen that are meant to develop the characters and story while at the same time entertain you. His technique reminds me of classic films like Some Like It Hot where the comedy is not only in what the characters are saying and doing, but the motivations that drive them to their madness. With all the bad comedies out there, a purely funny and tongue-and-cheek movie like J&SB Strike Back is a great refresher. Besides, who couldn�t be drawn into a story about a man and his monkey?
