Disappointing
After last month's stunning Cinderella, I was hoping Disney was going to make concept-art storybooks out of all of its classics. No such luck. This one is just what you'd expect: a nice, but uninspired, version of the Disney classic film with in essence the same text the company has published for ages. As for the art, it's vivid but fuzzy, as if it was done by a computer artist trying to emulate watercolor techniques.

I gave this book three stars because if you haven't seen that Cinderella one -- or just don't look at kids' picture books enough to know about the brilliant art they can contain -- you wouldn't notice anything wrong. The book is bound well, printed well and the story, of course, is first rate.
