The Official and Complete Soundtrack Listing
The following is a list of all 48 songs that appear in the movie "Can't Hardly Wait". The songs are fairly in order as they appear in the movie--though some may appear more than once, and some might be a little off chronologically. There were only 2 songs in the following list I could not find on Amazon--the Jennifer Love Hewitt and Dr. Freeze songs. (...) Here is THE LIST!:
Eve 6 - Open Road Song / Smash Mouth - Walkin On The Sun / Creed - Ode / Jennifer Love Hewitt - How Do I Make You / Busta Rhymes - Fire It Up / Barry Manilow - Mandy / Eve 6 - Inside Out / Kindgom Come - Get It On / Click Tha Supah Latin - This Iz How I Know / White Zombie - More Human Than Human / Sneaker Pimps - 6 Underground / Smash Mouth - Can't Get Enough of You / K.P. + Envyi - Swing My Way / Soul Coughing - Wooly Imbibe (Unreleased!) / G Love & The Special Sauce - Cold Beverage / Young MC - Bust A Move / Third Eye Blind - Graduate / Brougham - I Walked In / Thelma Houston - Don't Leave Me This Way / Dr. Freeze - The Mac / Deee-Lite - Groove Is In The Heart RMX / Run DMC - Tricky / Tone Loc - Funky Cold Medina / Brian Setzer Orchestra - Ghost Radio / Lucas - Lucas with The Lid Off / Third Eye Blind - London / Nazareth - Love Hurts / 10 Speed - It Makes Me Crazy / Foreigner - Waiting For A Girl... / Matthew Sweet - Farther Down / Feeder - High / Barry Manilow - Ready To Take A Chance... / Space Monkeys - Sugar Cane / Guns N Roses - Paradise City / Missy Eliott - Hit Em with Da Hee / James Gang - Funk Number 49 / Sublime - Caress Me Down / Black Lab - Tell Me What To Say / Parlaiment - Flashlight / Boyz 2 Men - I'll Make Love To You / Maurice Starr - You've Got It (The Right Stuff) / Dire Straits - Romeo and Juliet / 311 - All Mixed Up / Blink 182 - Dammit / Dog's Eye View - Umbrella / The Three Degrees - When Will I See You Again / Yaz - Only You / The Replacements - Can't Hardly Wait
well
I actually enjoyed this soundtrack a lot. The variation was good, although I will say I was disappointed they didn't put the Yaz song "Only You" (Plays when they meet at the end at the train station) or "Six Underground" by the Sneaker Pimps (plays when Hewitt enters the party). Overall though, I still listen to this CD every so often and it's a good mix.
1. "Graduate" - Third Eye Blind [5/5] : awesome opening. Third Eye Blind is my favorite band ever, and this punk song is just a great way to open this cd. definitely hardcore!
2. "Can't Get Enough of You Baby" - Smash Mouth [2/5] : Am I the only one that is sick of this song? This song got a lot of airplay, so it only added on after listening to this cd. Sorry, but this song drives me nuts.
3. "Dammit" - Blink 182 [4/5] : Alright you have to admit, this is one of the best rock songs. ever. Almost defines teen angst.
4. "I Walk In" - Brougham [3/5] : cute, but gets old after a while.
5. "Fire It Up" - Busta Rhymes [5/5] : I love this song, and Busta Rhymes is great. The chorus is probably the best part, but the beat is steady and and sometimes its hard not to start bobbing your head!
6. "Hit Em Wit da Hee" - Missy Elliot [3/5] : Missy Elliot is cool, but I just don't like this song. It almost seems a little out of place. The song is so inconsistent to me, but Missy's voice is good and so I gave this a 3.
7. "Swing My Way" - Envyi [5/5] : I love this song. One of the best on the album. The song is so catchy that it will be stuck in your head for a long time. I always find myself humming this song. It's like a smooth R&B song, but its fast.
8. "Flashlight" - Parliament [5/5] : this song is so much fun! I always sing the lyrics, lol. The first time I heard this song I thought it was SO wierd, but it grows on you. It's so funky it makes you want to dance.
9. "Tricky" - Run DMC [5/5] : If you don't love this song there must be something wrong with you. Probably one of the best rap songs ever, and its on this soundtrack. I still sing this with all my friends. So good!
10. "High" - Feeder [4/5] : This is a nice rock song. It starts off slow though, and that's why I took a point off. The good part is where the beat picks up, but besides that I don't think it's necessarily amazing, but its good.
11. "Tell Me What To Say" - Black Lab [3/5]: I don't really care for this song. I never listened to it much, it always seemed too depressing for me.
12. "Farther Down" - Matthew Sweet [5/5]: I really like this song. I love the soft sound of the guitar in the back, the slow pace the song takes on until the chorus. Kind of sad, but the lyrics are beautiful.
13. "Can't Hardly Wait" - The Replacements [5/5]: This song is so cute. The guy that sings it has a really nice voice, and I love the whole beat. It's really good, one of the best.
14. "Umbrella" - Dog's Eye View [5/5]: This used to be my favorite song on this CD. It's so sweet, reminds me so much of Ethan Embry's character. Mellow, but soft. Reminds me of a rainy day.
15. "Paradise City" - Guns 'n Roses [5/5]: One of the BEST endings on a soundtrack ever! Whenever I listen to this song I always think of the guy singing this on stage. This song will have you singing it forever. "Take me down to the paradise city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty..." It's a classic.
Song with Hewitt
When she walks in the party, the song playing is Six Underground by the Sneaker Pimps.
