Product Description

Willard Fillmore (Norm MacDonald) has been the butler housekeeper gardener and chauffeur for the wealthy shrewish Miss Crock for fifteen years. When she refuses to buy him a new uniform he decides he's finally had enough of her shrill demanding ways and with the help of his best friend Rusty (Dave Chappelle) they hit on a foolproof scheme: kidnap Miss Crock's beloved dog Muffin and ransom it for one million dollars. When this plan fails the two look for other ways to get away with Miss Crock's money resulting in an encounter with stun-gun wielding grade schoolers frustrated detectives and a bizarre mortician by the name of Grover Cleaver (Danny DeVito) who is obsessed with Hawaii Five-O. Codirectors Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski (screenwriters of ED WOOD and MAN ON THE MOON) make their directorial debut and pay homage to the great screwball comedy classics of the past with this frenetic wildly goofy farce.System Requirements:Running Time 92 Mins.Format: DVD MOVIE Genre: COMEDY Rating: PG-13 UPC: 025192093029 Manufacturer No: 20930

So maybe it's not Shakespeare...I loved this!4
"Screwed" has become nearly a national joke. People have criticized everything from lack of entertainment to more specific things like cinematography. I saw this movie last weekend and went into it not knowing what to expect. Knowing that Norm MacDonald was in it made me want to see it, but the reviews had been awful. After about 25 minutes, it wasn't all necessarily laugh out loud funny but more wry, chuckle-inducing humor. Then for some reason, events in the movie just seemed more funny to me than others in the theater. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because, okay maybe this isn't really deep stuff, but if you take off your sappy-movie watching (i.e., The Cider House Rules) glasses and watch for a minute through human eyes, even if it's just a guilty pleasure, you gotta admit, this is a pretty funny movie.

Very funny movie with great cast4
Screwed is a very funny movie with a great cast regardless of what critics said about it. Willard Fillmore is a butler badly mistreated by his boss, Miss Virginia Crock, the owner of a huge pastry business. Willard and his friend Rusty decide to get back at her by kidnapping her dog and getting a huge ransom out of it. Then, the kidnapping goes wrong and everyone thinks Willard is the one who was kidnapped. From here on in, Willard and Rusty must figure a way to get out of the mess without screwing themselves over. Sure, some of the humor has been done before, but it is still very funny. There are plenty of laughs throughout. Screwed will keep you interested because from one scene to the next you're never sure what is going to happen next.

Norm Macdonald is very funny as Willard Fillmore, the mistreated butler who decides to get back at Miss Crock. There is just something funny about the pitch of Macdonald's voice when he screams. Dave Chappelle is equally funny as Rusty, Willard's friend and partner in crime. The two of them together are great. Danny DeVito is also good as morgue worker Grover Cleaver, who gets caught up in the whole mess. Screwed also stars Elaine Strich, Sarah Silverman, Daniel Benzali, and Sherman Hemsley. The DVD offers the theatrical trailer, widescreen presentation, and production notes. For a very funny movie with plenty of laughs, check out Screwed!

Screwed is great!5
Who cares what the "editors" and "critics" said about this movie, I love it. Two guys just trying to make one's life better get in over their heads when things don't go their way. Things go from bad to worse, and in the end you will wonder how it all worked out. This movie will make you laugh, and think.
