**** 1/2 out of ***** Inventive, unique, smart writing and well acted throughout. Lived up to the hype. Quentin Tarantino is back on top.

**** out of ***** One of my favorite war films ever made and easily the best about the Iraq war. It's an honest look, without taking sides and it also features a very strong performance from Jememy Renner.

**** out of ***** A great young cast breathes life back into the Star Trek franchise. Chris Pine as Kirk and Zachary Quinto as Spock give standout performances. This is the crew I want to see in future adventures aboard the USS Enterprise.

**** out of ***** A very good adaptation with a couple of fine performances from Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as The Comedian. Visually it doesn't get much better than this, but it will likely be too complex for the average moviegoer, especially those who have never read the graphic novel.

**** out of ***** They should have released this one with an R rating like they did in Europe. Even with all the cuts for content, this movie still kicks serious butt. Liam Neeson is outstanding and the fights are quick, brutal and believable. I can't wait for the unrated version to hit DVD.

*** 1/2 out of ***** A very good bloody ninja action film that is much better than what the critics would lead you to believe. If action is what you want, you'll get more than enough here.

*** 1/2 out of ***** Not the great film I had hoped for from Michael Mann, but Depp is good and it's pretty entertaining.

*** 1/2 out of ***** About as average as Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. It has some good SFX and action, but little else. The first two James Cameron films are 5 star classics of course.

*** out of ***** Sure the movie is corny and so many unbelievable things happen, but the excellent FX make up for many of the faults. It's so bad that it's good applies here.

*** out of ***** The great SFX and the equally amazing eye candy that is Megan Fox, helps make up for the often poor dialogue and script.

*** out of ***** I don't think the "real" footage or people are as real as they claim them to be, but anyone interested in UFOs or alien abduction should find enough to ponder over here.

*** out of ***** Better than it should have been. It's nothing more than stupid fun with tons of action, but I had a blast watching it.

*** out of ***** Brutal and shocking like Wes Craven's 1972 original, but much more polished and features some better acting. I'm not a fan of remakes, but this one is done right.

** 1/2 out of ***** A decent little thriller that was more entertaining than I expected. Having the beautiful Kate Beckinsale on screen the whole time didn't hurt either.

** 1/2 out of ***** The worst of the four films in the series, but th 3-D made it watchable. The script, dialogue, and acting are really bad. Even the kills were boring this time around.

** 1/2 out of ***** If you didn't like Rob Zombie's take on the original Halloween, avoid this sequel at all costs. There were things I liked about it and things I really hated.

** 1/2 out of ***** Home Alone meets SAW. It features some weird traps and a creepy killer, but nothing really stands out. If you enjoyed Hostel or any of the SAW films, give it a look.

** out of ***** Mindless popcorn entertainment with some nice cars and a couple of good racing bits. Average at best.
