Former Miss USA Creates The Playbook On How You Can "Score!"
I recently finished reading Kenya Moore's new book entitled, Game Get Some. I got the book at the Harlem Book Fair where she was selling promotional copies.
For anyone who hasn't met her, she was very down to earth and approachable.
When I saw the book, I was a bit skeptical. My male ego kicked in. I believe my game with the ladies is tight so I didn't think I would be interested.
However, she convinced me that there may be some things that I don't know. She said to me, "No man knows everything there is to know about women."
Well, that comment piqued my interest. She is a very beautiful and charming woman, so I couldn't resist.
I read the book in a couple of hours and I came away impressed. I must admit, I learned a few things. This was an easy to read and very entertaining book. She gave great advice for the fellas on how to get the woman you want. She did a great job in using sports analogies to drive home her points. She clearly put a lot of thought into this book and it showed.
Kenya gave some great examples of how men misinterpret what women are trying to communicate. She gave examples of what men hear and then what women meant by what they just said. Her pyschology degree was put to great use in this section!
Also included in the book are the types of women out on the "playing field." She gave the pros and cons on each type as well as how to approach them.
Then, she gave some good advice on how a man should handle being in the dreaded FRIEND ZONE.
Kenya went a step further by explaining the proper way to break up with a woman. I must admit, I have made some mistakes in this department in the past but I'm sure I'm not alone.
There are some other great topics covered in this book, including some diagrams, as you will discover when you read it.
This book isn't just for men though. I recommend that the ladies read it too. Women will also find this book to be very entertaining and informative.
I really respect the fact that she vows not to be "the angry black woman that tears brothas down" even though some men have said some hurtful things to her.
I thought so much of her book, that I actually bought two copies, one to give to one of my friends.
All in all, I highly recommend this book for the "bench warmers" and even for the "playas" too.
This Book Sucks
Kenya Moore is a beautiful talented women. But her book is straight garbage on any level. Even if this book is just for entertainment purposes, it is not an easy read and she points out alot of things that are basically common sense. Such as listen to your woman. Or, remembering to get her something on those special days. She takes up like five pages with a list of things which women consider gifts. All women should get their due in a relationship and be respected, but the idea that a man is suppose to bend over backwards just to impress you is way too much. Maybe if people quit playing the game, then they could get down to getting to the know the person. Even if this book is for entertainment, any man who follows most of what she says will attract the wrong type of women who is only out for what is in his pockets.
Typical Hollywood BS
I had the opportunity to meet this woman at last summer's Harlem Book Fair. A lovely lady, no doubt. Unfortunately, a great deal of this book is shallow and superficial, and it most likely reflects the Hollywood attitude on the "proper" way to attract a woman. There's absolutely no mention of how vitally important it is to have a loving spiritual dimension that flows from each person. This deep connection is the only thing that is truly permanent, and this bond keeps people together in good and bad times. It's ultimately about SHARING and being partners in life's journey!! The book completely overlooks this, and it's not surprising.
It's ironic that a woman who is pushing 40 and has never been married is giving this kind of advice. I guess there's nobody out there with enough "game". UGH!!!
