![]() | The Crissing Link: Poetic License: a poetic journey through the labyrinth of multiplicity by Rev. Criss Ittermann
Buy new: $24.00 This is my "I'm multiple and proud of it" book. 1st-person autobiographical/poetic, not a horror-story. An empowerment book about my life including identity issues. We hope you'll pick up this book over & over, if only to enjoy the turns of phrase, the candor, the poetry, and the different twists and turns of our life-in-general. The least-trigger-happy autobiography of a multiple I've read.

![]() | Amongst Ourselves: A Self-Help Guide to Living With Dissociative Identity Disorder by Tracy, Ph.D. Alderman
Buy new: $13.57 / Used from: $7.86 Amongst Ourselves is the flagship DID Self-Help book. It's a good book, tip-toes around possible trigger language, and is graciously paranoid about your safety. If you're raw and have never done any self-help work before, I highly recommend this book, preferably for use with a professional.

![]() | The Dissociative Identity Disorder Sourcebook (Sourcebooks) by Deborah Haddock
Buy new: $12.89 / Used from: $6.69 This is a good resource guide. It's not precisely a self-help book. It's a good book for your or your professional's bookshelf.

![]() | Got Parts? An Insider's Guide to Managing Life Successfully with Dissociative Identity Disorder (New Horizons in Therapy) by A.T.W.
Buy new: $14.49 I have to remember whether I've personally read this book. I think one of my partners in self-help had loaned it to me, and it may or may not still be on my shelves. When I dig it out, I'll review it. However, this is a self-help book, so it deserves an honorable mention anyhow.

![]() | When Rabbit Howls by Truddi Chase
Buy new: $10.88 WARNING: Very graphic. I used it to explore lost memories of abuse. "Why did this trigger me?" "Why was this so familiar?" I don't recommend multiples read this book as a first autobiography. It's not necessarily written FOR multiples. That said, it's a great book: it's not for everybody. I'm not saying it didn't happen, I'm just saying it's really hard to read it. Everyone's mileage may vary.
