Customer Reviews
Completly disapointed
As a non Manilow listener, I bought this for my wife who loves his music, not knowing much about his cd's I thought this would be a nice gift, well it seems this is a release of his old songs from 2007 with two(2) new ones added.
She already has the original one and the 2 new songs does not justify the cost of a new cd, she and I are very disappointed in Amazon and the lack of info on this CD.
My advice to people considering buying anything on Amazon and other sites is to read the reviews first before buying as I should have done.
In the Swing of Christmas: Barry Manilow
This isn't a very good CD. Not really too bad, but just not what I thought it might be. More on Barry's "corny" side, if you ask me.
I would avoid this CD. If you really want to hear Barry's BEST CD ever, check out 2:00 AM Paradise Cafe. Amazing music.
Deceptive marketing
I was extremely disappointed with this CD. Manilow went on the talk-show circuit promoting this "new" Christmas CD. This is NOT a new CD. It was released under the Hallmark label in 2007 WITH THE EXACT SAME TITLE AND COVER PHOTO. Arista adds two songs and calls it a "brand-new" Christmas CD.
I don't know who to be more upset with -- Barry Manilow for promoting something totally inaccurate, Arista for marketing something inaccurate, or Amazon for selling it!
