In terms of his status as an Undaground Legend, it's "Game Over" for Lil' Flip. Longtime fans of the Texas freestyle king won't find much to love about his third major-label solo release, which seems geared towards the ever-expanding "commercial rap" market. Presented as a two-CD affair but in actuality only minutes longer than a single disc, Feel Me suffers from the usual flaws: played out subject matter (Flip and friends cock glocks and sling rocks ad nauseum), generically "hot" beats (c'mon, more slowed vocal samples from the Heatmakerz?), and guest appearances that smack of arranged marriages. That said, there's just enough talent shown here to make up for the filler: listeners will definitely be feeling the two tracks featuring David Banner while Red Spyda's production provides "Check (Let's Ride)" with an unexpectedly funky roots-reggae-meets-Southern-bounce sound. --Rebecca Levine

U Gotta Be Kidding Me
I must say I think this is the worst review I have EVER written for any cd I have reveiwed. This has to be the laziest double disc effort EVER put on wax. For starters, in all actuality, this is a single disc cd, just take of the chopped & screwed songs and the disc clocks in a a little under 80 minutes. Another flaw is the production (with the exception of David Banner's production on the album) sounds just like a nintendo 8 bit system did the layout for certain songs while other songs sounded half assed. Behind Nelly, Flip has the worst flow than anyone in the rap game. I wish I can tell you what songs to listen to on the album but unfortunately there were no standout songs. But I can offer these wise words of advice, if you are still considering getting this album, please pick up a used copy.
Don't waste your money!
OK, this is the first Lil Flip album that I've bought and I must say that I feel like I wasted my money. I first heard Lil Flip when he came out with "I Can Do That" a few years ago and that song was hot. When I heard "Game Over" I decided that I should buy his album. His lyrics sounded real and he claimed that he had that "Biggie ready to die s***." It turns out that U Gotta Feel Me is nowhere near Ready to Die. All of Flip's beats are weak and his lyrics are even weaker. He claims that hip hop needs a make over but he sure isn't gonna be the one to provide it. If you want a good southern rap CD, I recommend you go buy T.I.'s Trap Muzik instead.
This is the kind of crap thats killin hip hop
Lil Flip sucks. He may consider himself the 'undaground legend' but i consider him an embarrasment to hip hop. First of all I dont have to 'feel' anything and im sure as hell not feeling this album. Lil flip has no flow at all, he rhymes words together little kids could rhyme. On the song "Sunshine"(only good thing about the song is the fine girl who sings on it)one of his so called rhymes is "just answer your phone whenever i call, cuz im sittin on chrome whenever i ball"... whatever happened to the sophisticated well thought out lyrics. A three year old could rhyme call with ball and phone with chrome. And in his song "Check(Lets Ride)" a line in the song says "Im to street to go pop-but i pop heat in the street"... haha thats the biggest load of bs ive ever heard. This fool has been pop since he released his first album, what a stupid thug wannabe. And whatever happened to lil troy, one of the only good artists to ever come out of houston. Lil Flip sucks, dont buy this garbage unless you feel like wasting your money.
