My absolute favorite recording of The Planets, great performance in every way and extraordinarily recorded. Yoel Levi has finally captured all the correct tempi in this very complicated large orchestral masterpiece. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra proves again, that they are a force to be reckoned with. Brilliant!

An all time favorite among many. I still have this one on vinyl, but love it on CD. Until Yoel Levi recorded his Planets with Atlanta, this was the standard. It will remain rated among the finest recordings of The Planets ever made. Better if you can find it with the original cover art from the 1987 release.

This performance and interpretation is much superior to Karajans 1981 release of The Planets with the Berlin Philharmonic almost 20 years later. So if you are a Karajan fan, you might want to opt for this disc. If you don't have this one, but have the other, I think you will greatly appreciate hearing the difference.

Another great bargain and great performance and one of the very early digital recordings of The Planets. This I understand was a standard for years and is still a very good disc. Listen to it and you will understand why. Great performance and great recorded sound.

Just got this recording and I was amazed that this performance is not among the highly rated. The best of 3 recordings available with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

This one is a another must have. Sir Adrian Boult led the premiere performance. This is one of his later efforts of a number of recordings and sounds very big and new in EMI's remastering.

Not the best recorded sound, but a very aggressive performance, and a very English performance. Mars is taken at a nice quick pace.
