Sober reflections, a message the Christian church MUST heed.
"This book reveals the heartbeat of a man deeply concerned with the apathy of the church at large towards world missions. Rather than passionately pursuing God's number one priority for all time, namely that the gospel of Jesus Christ be brought to the ends of the earth no matter the cost, the church has bought into the secular & materialistic culture of our age to such an extent that its ability to fulfil the Great Commission has been paralysed. The various trends in mission thinking are well-analysed with excellent quotes and references. Despite its sober reflections, the author's words breathe an atmosphere of confidence, not pessimism, because 'the modern missionary movement is God's enterprise, not man's and He will be able to take care of His own enterprise.' An excellent book for missionary executives, pastors, church missionary committee members, missionaries trying to get to the field, and every Christian who wants their heart's main beat to be after what God's heart beat is: world missions."
