Marin Marais was famous because of the french movie¨"Tous les Matins du Mnode¨*,we could know the Viole beautiful voice and legend composers from it.
In fact, Marais was a the legend of french viole, especial we could get his value from this CD.
He borrow the inspiration from Colombe and Lully, to build more the coloful and plentiful factors in his music and succeed the classic tradition of french baroque.
Savall, he let us know Marais, not only from movie, but also again from this record. I recommand you to purchase it to enjoy more beautiful music.

This is an amazing recording of the second book. The interpretation is outstanding since the very first prelude. You just need to hear the first few seconds to be convinced. The rest is just incredible, beyond words. Highly recommended.
