It works but....
The alarm works by sensing shock waves/water displacment.Be aware that a small child falling in at one end of the pool may not activate the alarm for several moments (until the shock wave reaches the sensor).Additionally,an object entering the water SLOWLY may not trigger it at all.Finally,the pool's water level must be be monitored closely .Failure to do so may render the device prone to false alarms.
Overall,I would recommend this product with the warning that it should only be considered a last line of defense. This product should NOT be soley relied upon as the only protection for children around a pool.

Don't buy it!
The POOLALARM The Pool Alarm does not work. It alarms and does not stop and will not sync with the indoor unit. Purchased from LML Defense through RCNO Distributor and they have not returned phone calls or e-mails. This is not the same model as the one Consumer Reports rates high.

Pool guard - in-ground version
Works really well. No false alarms. Does its job protecting our family. Nice peace of mind.
