To use, simply place the mat smooth side up on the countertop when working with sticky materials, such as batter, taffy, or caramel, or place it on a sheet pan to bake cookies, cakes, and pastries--the mat turns any pan into a nonstick surface with no greasing necessary. Made in France of woven glass fabric coated with food-safe silicone, the product conforms to U.S. regulations and is FDA, NSF, and Kosher certified. It can be used at temperatures varying from -40 to 482 degrees F, and can last 2,000 to 3,000 times depending on use and care. After the baked pastries have cooled, remove them one by one or gently lift the baking mat to allow them to roll off. To clean the baking mat, simply wipe it down using hot water and dish soap, shake off any excess water, and hang or lay it flat on an even surface to dry. Pliable and flexible, the mat should be stored by either rolling it up or keeping it flat. This is replacement silpats, had the other two 3 years. love them. I bake at least 4 times a week. for different clubs . could not live without them.

I love it, and saves me a lot of money
I love to bake and I spotted these things while I was wandering around on Amazon. I bake a lot of cookies and make a lot of bread and biscuits. I know I have saved a lot of money on parchment paper. I never did like to put more grease or butter on what I was cooking and this mat has helped me more than anything that I have ever bought on Amazon. I highly reccomend that every one should have one. I have bought 3 and I think I will give some of them for Christmas gifts. All I say is try them. You will be amazed.

Great mat!
I've tried the SiliconZone as well as KitchenAid's silicone mat, and neither compare to SilPat. I don't even use this on a baking sheet, just throw it right onto the oven shelves; it's stiff enough to manage, and cuts down on my clean-up, (which by the way, the dishwasher does nicely). It's completely non-stick, I've never had an issue. Cookies, croissants, it all comes out perfect with this mat.
