new born panda5
When my son first wanted this toy, I thought he was silly. He loves this thing, and he's seven. At first I thought the noises this toy made were annoying, but after seeing an actual baby panda on T.V., and hearing it, they sound exactly the same. The whimpering and the little noises it makes sounds just like a real baby panda. If I hadn't seen this on Animal Planet, I would of thought this toy was annoying and stupid. He blinks, sucks, and makes cute baby panda sounds. He even moves his paws. He does have some mechanical noises while it's gears run during leg movements, but other than that, it's adorable. My son loves taking care of the "baby he saw on Animal Planet", and likes interacting with it. It's easily shut off by a switch on his back, and his skin is baggy enough on his back, that we open the velcro back there when not in use, and we store the panda's bottle in his back skin. It fits perfectly back there, and is ready to be used when you switch him back on, you just open his back velcro and his bottle is ready too. It was a good way not to misplace such a small item. We have had this item since it came out last year, and it's well loved.

Good By Me5
Just so people know, this is not the Luv Cub. This is the Newborn Luv Cub. It doesn't hug back and is considerably smaller than the original Luv Cub (who does hug and makes suckling noises when given a bottle). We have both the Luv Cub and Newborn Luv Cub and both are great. My daughter pretends the Luv Cub is the 'Mommy'. On the larger Luv Cub, the arm also bent/broke, but still works fine. The newborn is in great shape and seems more durable. We love both and the Newborn Luv Cub is so adorable.

I bought this for my grandaughter about 1 month ago. She played with it for the first 2 weeks and now it just sits in her toy box. She is 3-1/2 yrs. old and she told me the bear was smaller than the one in the video and that it also does not give hugs like the video shows. She was also disappointed that the bottle served no purpose. The toy just stretches and opens it's eyes and moves arms up and down. We were both disappointed, especially since the video made it look larger than it actually is and I have yet to see it hug.
