This book is your child’s passport to the ultimate children’s party. Every detail of the book, and the party itself, has been designed with a child’s favorite things in mind. You’ll find "sandboxes everywhere, and fields to play ball in, and places to hide in, and places to crawl in, and places to lie in, and places to fall in, and one that I’m sure you will feel very tall in."
The party in Kalamazoo reveals itself through easy, playful rhymes and bright, whimsical illustrations that delight children and parents alike. You’ll meet "puppies and ponies and marionettes. That’s the kind of excitement that no one forgets!"
Best of all, you and your child can attend the party in Kalamazoo again and again — on rainy days, at bedtime, and whenever else you like — for as long as this book remains a cherished part of your child’s collection.
We’re glad that you and your child will be making this book a part of your lives. Because "forever and ever, wherever you go, whoever you meet will be eager to know, and you can say, ‘Yes, my friend, it is true … I went to that party in Kalamazoo.’"
See you at the party!

About the Author
Ed and Dave are two seasoned Creative Directors who own and operate a thriving advertising agency (BrandStreet LLC) in Montclair, NJ. Both have achieved success by interpreting commercial messages with child-like clarity and enthusiasm — Ed through the written word, Dave through art and design. Both have also had a life-long relationship with art for art’s sake — Ed as a creative writer, songwriter, and guitar player, Dave as a sketcher and pianist.
Having grown up on Dr. Seuss, Ed wrote his first rhyme at the age of six, and has never paused in his pursuit of the lyrical phrase. Dave first experimented with his highly detailed illustrative style at an equally tender age.
With this book, two seasoned artists offer children everywhere a taste of the creative spirit that has captivated and sustained them since they themselves were children. And that’s only beginning. Ed and Dave are already hard at work on the next of many children’s books to come.

WooHoo! Let's ALL Go to Kalamazoo
What are you doing ten years from today? Well, we are all going to a party, where we'll meet amazing people (and animals), and anything can happen ... as long as it's fun. Colorful illustrations and a collection of favorite activities make this road trip a first-class party. This was fun to read ... even a couple times in a row. It will remind you of reading a Dr. Seuss book, but it is unique, too. We like how it blends in fun, creative activities with real places that are also great (family) destinations.
Kid from Kalamazoo
I just moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan. My friends from back home in pittsburgh sent me this book for my birthdya as a joke, but I love it! Now, I really can relate to going to a party in kalamazoo, but the book is much wackier than real life! :)
