Perfect for drowning out noise or to prevent ear pain! Disposable.

Product Description

Ear pain during takeoff and landing is one of the worst things about airplane travel. You chew gum. You "pop" your ears. But the pressure and discomfort continue, sometimes for hours after you've disembarked. Fly with a cold, and you may suffer for days afterward. EarPlanes use special filters to regulate air pressure, reduce noise, for more comfortable travel. Insert in ear canals just before takeoff, then remove when plane reaches maximum altitude. Reinsert one hour before landing; remove when cabin door is opened. Each pair of disposable EarPlanes lasts for one round trip. Also great for mountain driving.

This Product WORKS!5
I have always had severe ear pain when flying (especially during descents). At times it felt like someone was sticking a pencil deep into my ear. If you have ever experienced ear pain like this, or just annoying popping/clogging of your ears while flying, try this product. It is worth the few bucks. I found this product to eliminate that sharp shooting ear pain that used to drive me almost to tears flying. I used to take Sudafed before I flew to dry up my sinuses/ears before flying and just hope for the best. This product worked for me. I flew with a cold and had no sharp shooting pains. I was absolutely shocked at how well this product worked, especially since I had a full blown cold at the time. So please take it from me, if you suffer from ear pain/discomfort from flying, try this product. I travel a lot and I used to dread the descent every time.

When I flew I had two layovers on each end (so four take-offs/landings) and I used one pair of Earplanes and they worked each time. I found the product worked best when I left the Earplanes in during the whole duration of the flight, although the box says you can take them out during mid-flight and then put them in before descent. Since I had a cold, I didn't want to mess around. The only drawback I had was that I couldn't listen to my iPod since I have earbud headphones. But I was content to sleep. The Earplanes drown out noise nicely, while still allowing you to hear the overhead announcements. I am so incredibly happy with this product. I wish I had heard of it sooner. So for all of you with ear problems, there is hope for flying!

The Earplanes worked! Very small associated discomfort.4
I have been plagued with ear problems my whole life. My doctors are amazed I can still hear and worry that may change some day. I had 9 (nine) sets of tubes put in before I was 6 years old to combat ear infections and inflammation three of which were `t' style that have to be surgically placed and removed after about a year. I have undergone two corrective surgeries to fix my estuation tubes, but I still cannot swim or fly without days of discomfort and reduced hearing and diving is out of the question. I tried "Earplanes" for the first time last week flying to and from Mexico for vacation and they worked very well! I put in the plugs just before boarding and left them in until we got off the plane and the pressure on the plug was relieved, we had a longer layover on the first flight and I removed them between flights, the return trip I left them in and the second leg was a little better than on the first flight. I could feel the pressure changes and it felt like the plug was being driven further into my ear which was a little uncomfortable but nothing like what I'm used to. When we landed there was still some pressure on the plugs so I waited about 10 minutes for the plugs to equalize before removing them. There was no lingering discomfort or loss of hearing which is usually a challenge for me on vacation for the first three days. I would recommend `Earplanes' to others and will defiantly use them in the future, if it weren't for the pushing sensation (which was totally bearable) I would give this product five gold stars. Thanks `Earplanes'!!

Great when you have a cold...5
In the past I have had severe ear pain while traveling by air, especially when I have a head cold. I recently used a pair of earplanes on a trip (while I had a horrible head cold), and I never felt any pain at all.... These are amazing! They not only keep the pressure from bothering you, but they keep the noise down too.
