![]() | The Lost Ark by Karl P.N. Shuker
Buy used from: $33.35 This is one of my favourite books. If you ever think there isn't much left to discover in this world, read this book. It covers a huge range of creatures discovered since 1900 including the megamouth shark, okapi, golden hamster and a giant earwig. Its truly amazing how many animals have been discovered only recently. There are definitely more animals out there waiting to be discovered.

Great book for anyone interested in Australian mystery animals. It starts with the animals most likely to exist, then heads towards the creatures that are more likely to be myth. It has maps and descriptions of sightings and is an excellent resource. Some of the photos are quite intriguing. I live near some of the places mentioned in the book. ![]() | Slowing Down to the Speed of Life: How to Create a More Peaceful, Simpler Life from the Inside Out by Richard Carlson
Buy used from: $0.01 It is amazing that we can see the world through eyes of wonder and awe like a child, just by slowing down our thinking to the pace it is supposed to operate at. Were trained to overanalyse and think at high speed. This takes us away from the moment, prevents us from truly experiencing life and destroys intimacy. When we slow down, everything gets clearer, deeper and more meaningful. Great book.

Read that chapter guys!
