Customer Reviews
Excellent small book on an arcane but beautiful subject
Ireland's Holy Wells is a lovely small book that is one persons experiences with many of Ireland's holy wells. It's clear the author has collected information, as well as photographs, for a number of years. It is not a comprehensive guide but a good introduction for someone not very familiar with the subject. The author's writing is fun, witty and moves along at a brisk pace. Clearly valuable, is her review of a number of wells right in Dublin's environs. Directions are sketchy but, with all the road construction, no wonder! This is a very good book!
