Editorial Reviews

Review
"Chin and the Magic Stones is an electrifying tale of a young boy who is able to overcome fears and insecurities through belief in himself. With the help of his companion Eagle, Chin is able to provide hope and help to his friends by combating the evil of negative thinking. This story is engaging and suspenseful, educational and whimsical. I am eager for the next installment from L.J. Salazar!" --Ingrid Adams, Middle School English Teacher, Scotts Valley, California, Feb 2009

Enjoyed This Book4
Luis is a friend and gave me this book as a gift. We were talking about the power of positive thinking and the journey of our spirits/souls. The book has a great message for adults and children alike "Ab Intra" (you will need to read the book, I won't spoil it for you). The book is fun and full of adventure.

My book review5
I like the story because Chin shows how to be positive and be successful. Eagle makes me laugh a lot because he pretends to be a well-educated dog from England but he exaggerates everything. The story happens in Kirkland, a small city where I live, so I can go to the places described in the book and imagine the story is real! I am waiting for book #2!

My First Book Review 4
When you read this book you enter an exciting new world. It's the perfect combination of real places - it takes place in Kirkland in the state of Washington which is near where I live - and fictional places where time stands still. The characters are perfect for this book. The main character, Chin, is 10 years old like me. He is resourceful, witty, and smart. I also like the dog, Eagle because he's a nice loyal dog. The moral of this story is that if you put your mind to it you can do anything. I can't wait for the next book.
