This vacuum is the only upright I have ever owned that is designed specifically for hard floors such as tile and wood. It does a good job with oriental rugs too, as it is very powerful. It is so beautiful, I leave it standing at the ready in my laundry room. The enclosed dusting hose is very convenient, however, the detachable wand for getting to high places and corners is not easy for me to use, so far. Perhaps I will learn a shortcut for it. The vacuum comes with a very innovative DVD demonstrating its use. It is almost the perfect cleaning tool for a home without wall to wall carpeting.

Its super efficient and versatile for a variety of floors
We have have mostly wood floors and some rugs with one carpeted room. I love it because of its versatility and how much it picks up for being such a lighter weight vacuum. The attached hose makes quick cleaning of corners and upholstery. Its super efficient and saves me time because of its innovative features. Plus, aethestically, its a good-looking vacuum.
