Easy solution for dark areas!
These "track style" under cabinet lights are great! We have an older style kitchen which was in need of a face-lift in the lighting arena, however we didn't want to spend a lot of money bringing in an electrician to hardwire under cabinet lights. These lights are just perfect! We don't have many outlets in the kitchen, so the fact these lights are battery operated made it extremely easy to install and gives a clean look without hanging wires. Don't be fooled...these are accent lights not primary lights. They will NOT illuminate your entire room but will give off a nice accent light.

We liked them so much we actually bought a few more to put throughout the house. My daughter has one in her bedroom under the shelf above her desk. It makes a perfect light for her to use while working on her computer. We also have a couple in our closets.

I am extremely happy with my purchase & highly recommend these lights as a easy lighting solution!

Not bright enough to be useful
These seemed like a promising solution to a lighting need I have for track lighting in a place that is difficult to wire. However, these lights are not bright enough to do much more than provide mood lighting. They do have two brightness settings, but even the higher setting isn't enough to provide adequate reading light, for example, at a distance of 3-4 feet.

Part of the problem is likely the use of AAA batteries, which provide a slim profile to the base, but not enough juice to power a truly adequate light. It's nice that the batteries are included, but I'd rather have more powerful lights.

The description here refers to these as "under cabinet" lights, but that's not the description on the product box at retail, where they are called "track lights." They might be adequate for mood lighting under a cabinet, but I'd want a flatter profile for that application. As it stands, these don't seem to have a really good use due to lack of brightness. Probably just a good idea executed inadequately.
