The "Hotsync" wasn't all that hot
I bought this in order to have a second charging and sync cable for my iPhone. It charges just fine, but it doesn't sync with iTunes very well. Initially, the syncing seems to be working as iTunes recognizes my phone, but toward the end after watching everything appear to sync correctly I get an error message saying my sync couldn't be completed. Then when I sync with my original cable I'm able to sync without a problem. Perhaps it is best to sync only with Apple's cables.

On a positive note, I gave this product three stars because it charges well and I like the fact that it is black with an extra long cable cord. So although I purchased this product mainly for the syncing capability, I'll definitely keep it and use it as an extra charging cable. The price was great; but if you're looking specifically for something with syncing ability, I'd pay a bit more for something that works.

Works with iPod Touch 2 gen. Nice long cord. Used in conjunction with a belken usb 12 volt automotive charger in my truck. No problems charging. Haven't tried to sync. Seems much more durable than apple sync cable. Apple sync cable wore through where cable and connector meet. This cable has stress relief at those points. Price is unbeatable.

You will need this item. If you do not want to purchase a docking station, then you will definetly need to purcahse this item.
