Camerabrght says this unit has a 20' range, but unless you are in a pitch black situation it doesn't. Under normal low light conditions the range is more like 10'. and the color temperature is a very cool bluish tone. And of course they do tell you it will only screw on the bottom of your camera not on a shoe mount.

I think this little light works great for still cameras
I got this item some years back and it worked great for me. I could even use it when the power went out. It only screws onto the bottom of the camera, but that's what the description said. I only wish the twister thing that screws it was larger so I could twist from both sides. Other than that, I liked it.
I still have it. It lasted for quite a long time, too. I need to put another battery in it now. And it gave me some extra light in the dark so I could get a focus on a subject for my still camera. It's small enough to fit in a pocket, so is very handy.
