Amazon.com Product Description
Tissot brings its tradition of technological innovation to the T-Touch titanium men's analog/digital watch, which offers eight separate functions that are easily accessible via the watch's touch screen. In addition to precise, Swiss-manufactured timing features, the T-Touch also offers an altimeter, compass, thermometer, and barometer for tracking meteorological trends. The different functions are listed around the edge of the dial--just press that area of the dial to activate it. The watch case and bracelet are made from solid titanium, which is nearly 50 percent lighter than steel, but 30 percent stronger. It's also particularly resistant to salt water corrosion, as well as hypo-allergenic--perfect for those with metal allergies.
The digital chronograph enables you to time events up to 10 hours, displaying results to 1/10th of a second, and it offers standard start/stop functionality as well as a split (intermediate) function. The large round silver stainless steel watch case measures 40mm (1.6 inches) wide and is topped by a rounded, bidirectional rotating bezel with engraved directional markings. It has a blue dial face with large, luminous white hands. Other features include a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and water resistance to 30 meters (99 feet).
About Tissot
For more than 150 years, Tissot has embodied the innovation and tradition of Swiss watch-making. Based in the Neuchâtel area of the Jura Mountains, in Le Locle, Switzerland, Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Emile created the watch making company Tissot in 1853. Whether in the technology of its movements, in the research for special materials or in the very functions of the watch itself, Tissot's engineers and watchmakers have developed pioneering timepieces over the years. A member of the Swatch Group since 1985, Tissot watches are available in over 140 countries around the world.
Tissot uses the best movements (from ETA SA Manufacture Horlogère Suisse), the highest quality materials (316L steel, 18K gold, titanium) and scratchproof glasses (sapphire crystal--at least 2500 Vickers). The company's timepieces have also been chosen as official timekeepers for world championships in cycling, motorcycling, fencing and ice hockey.

Some of Tissot's triumphs over the years include the the Idea 2001 (the world's first plastic watch) released in 1971, the Rock watch (which set the timepiece's movement in a stone case made from Swiss Alps granite) in 1985, and the Wood watch from 1988 (with a completely wooden case). Tissot uses the best movements (from ETA SA Manufacture Horlogère Suisse), the highest quality materials (316L steel, 18K gold, titanium) and scratch-proof glasses (sapphire crystal--at least 2500 Vickers).
The company has been involved with high profile sports events since 1974 when they sponsored a racing car in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, France. Since then Tissot's timepieces have been chosen as official timekeepers for world championships in cycling, motorcycling, fencing and ice hockey. And Tissot is currently the the official watch and timekeeper of NASCAR.
Tissot timepieces have been worn by a bevy of celebrities over the years--including Grace Kelly, Elvis Presley and Nelson Mandela--and James Stewart's character L.B. Jefferies wore a Tissot timepiece in Alfred Hitchcock's "Rear Window." Today the company is represented in a variety of sporting fields by English soccer star Michael Owen, IndyCar driver Danica Patrick, and MotoGP world champion Nicky Hayden. Today, Tissot is a member of the Swatch Group, the world's largest watch producer and distributor.

Great watch and conversation piece
This watch combines analog and digital display with style and flare. Amaze your friends with the T-Touch functions, especially the compass and the weather prediction. The true usefulness of a few functions is questionable: the thermometer, for example, always gives a reading somewhere between your body temperature and the ambient temperature. If you want to know the real temperature, you have to take the watch off for 15-30 minutes. The titanium version is very light -- worth the extra cost in my book. Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal was an important feature for me because I wear my watch all the time and always end up with scratches on the glass -- none so far on this watch. One major, inexplicable flaw: there's no light! This is a battery-powered watch; couldn't they have at least included a light on the digital display? The analog display glows in the dark, but forget about checking the digital time, the altitude, the temperature or using the stopwatch in low light conditions. Summing up, this watch is a very original, good-looking, quality Swiss timepiece with a reasonable price and, unfortunately, a few design flaws.
Tissot watch
This was a Christmas gift for my husband. This was the best price I found for this watch and was pleased that there was no shipping charges at the time it was purchased. The watch arrived in perfect condition in the time it was supposed to - something I was worried about since it was ordered so close to Christmas. My husband and I couldn't be happier with the watch. I highly recommend it and the vendor.
Great time piece.
The box it arrived in weighed slightly over two pounds, but hardly any of they weight was the watch itself. It comes with more manuals than a scanning electron microscope--that is the weight. The watch itself is very light for its size and was my greatest first impression of the watch. The solid titanium attributes to its light weight. The manual is not quite as intuitive as one may like, but once you make sense of the pictographic instructions, setting the time, date or even magnetic variance of the compass is as easy as pie. For being a large-frame watch, it has the style you'd expect from Tissot and the blue face really brings that out. Great watch, great buy.
