Customer Reviews

Cute but difficult buttons3
I like that the watch is very feminine instead of wide and clunky with a clean, modern design. It fits my large boned wrist and there are plenty of holes for a small boned wrist. Good price. I only gave it three stars though because the HOLD/SET button which is crucial to using all the functions is fussy and the instructions could use some additional word directions to go with the images. What good is a watch is you have trouble knowing how to use it? If you are frustrated like I was in trying to set this thing to the point you want to send it back, I found you really have to make sure you have the HOLD/SET button in all the way, completely flat. It's cantankerous. On the plus side, however, once you get the feel for the fussy button, it will be easy to use. If you had trouble with the instructions, as they are minimal and don't use word directions, I put them in words below. Hope this helps.

For setting the time, push in the MODE button on the lower left until the word TIME comes on the screen. Let go of the mode button. Then press in and hold the HOLD/SET button until you see the words HOLD/SET on the screen and keep holding (for about 3 seconds) until the time comes on the screen with the hour number blinking. Let that button go. Then use the START and STOP buttons on the right side of the watch to raise or lower the hour number. To set the minutes, hit the MODE button and the minutes will blink. Again, use the START and STOP buttons to raise or lower the minutes. Do the same routine again to set the year and 12/24 hour preference by hitting the MODE button followed by using the START and STOP buttons to raise or lower the number. (I don't know what PWR does and there's no explanation in the manual, so if anyone knows what that does, please comment and clue me in.) Hit the HOLD/SET button to set and return the time to its normal appearance.

To use the chrono, click on MODE until 'chrono' comes on the screen and use the START and STOP buttons to start and stop the timer. To clear the figures back to zero, hold (for about 3 seconds) the HOLD/SET button until those words come on the screen followed by the numbers set back to zero.

To use the countdown timer, click MODE and choose chrono. If you're already in chrono mode, just continue on with the following. Hold the HOLD/SET button until the four digits clear to zero and keep holding until the minute/seconds come on the screen with the minute number blinking. (Make sure you have the button all the way in and flat or it will only clear the numbers and won't continue on to the countdown timer. ) Use the START and STOP buttons to set your starting minute from which to count down. Then hit the MODE button to set the seconds in the same way. Hit the START button when you're ready to start your countdown. A little clock icon will appear on the screen to let you know it's running. A warning beep will come on about 3 seconds before the end alarm comes on to let you know the count's finished. Hit the MODE button to quiet the alarm. The numbers will be back to zero. You can either do another count by holding the MODE/SET button again until the minute number starts blinking and set up your timer or you can hit MODE to go back to a different watch function.

To set the alarm, click MODE until the word alarm comes on the screen. Hold the HOLD/SET button until the time comes up with the hour number blinking. Let go of that button. Use the STOP or START button to raise or lower the hour number. Click MODE to make the minutes blink, then use START or STOP again to raise or lower the minute. Click HOLD/SET to set it. Hit MODE and then either STOP or START buttons to set the alarm on or off. An icon that looks like a dot with two parentheses will appear to let you know it's on and disappear when the alarm is off.

For the chime sound, hold the HOLD/SET button and the START button simultaneously to either set or get rid of the chime, that little black bell icon. If the icon appears, the chime is on, if it's not on the watch face, it's off.

It has two time zone settings so you can know your own time and if calling your friends overseas will find them awake or sleeping. To set the time setting, hold the STOP button for about 3 seconds until the T1 (time zone one) stops blinking. Then use the time setting instructions at the top of this review to set the time for that time zone. Hit the HOLD/SET button to set. Once that time is set, you can hold the STOP button for 3 seconds again to turn on the T2 time zone 2 icon until it stops blinking. Just as you did for setting T1, use the time instructions above to set the time zone for your second time zone. Hit MODE/SET to set. To choose which time zone you want to keep displayed, hold the STOP button for about 3 seconds until either the T1 or T2 icon comes on and stops blinking.

Nice Watch5
My 10-year-old daughter rec'd this watch for Christmas. It has the stopwatch and timer combined so that you either use the stopwatch as a stopwatch and it counts up OR set a time and then it counts down. The alarm is loud enough to be useful. The time is large and easy to read. We find the alarm very easy to set and turn on and off... No learning curve, very intuitive. It is large on a 10-year-old wrist, but not so large that it is cumbersome for her. We all dig it.
