Album Description
The only positive byproduct of an industry asleep at the wheel is a dream. With over a decade of hit-making experience and a certified smash in Rihanna's #1 single, "Umbrella" Terius "The Dream" Nash is stepping from behind the scenes with a wake-up call. The Dream was born in the Bankhead section of Atlanta and his debut CD, Love Hate, is a sonic gauntlet thrown down against complacent, cookie cutter music. Propelled by the first single "Shawty is a Ten" the mastermind behind the Britney Spears and Madonna collab, "Me Against The Music" will do nothing short of redefine RnB for 2007 and beyond. The Dream has combined all of his hit-making talents for his debut, Love Me All Summer, Hate Me All Winter. Throughout his career Terius has seen people change like the weather, but in the coming months he is forecasting a 100% chance of reign. The Dream says, "It's more of what I'm giving other people. It's like the 80s, it's musical. I'm doing the `Umbrella' routine to this whole album. All of my records are singles. I don't think a record has been done this good since Thriller." Songs like the soulful "She Needs My Love" will solidify Terius' status as a triple threat, singer, writer and producer.

Customer Reviews

I can't put this album down.5
I love this CD. I usually don't care for music that is so ghetto-fabulous and like to think of myself as "too grown" for that kind of stuff. But, I have to admit, this is what I bump in my car...and some of the songs even in my bedroom. = )

Shawty is the *** really grew on me on the radio, and when I heard "Falsetto" I knew I had to go cop the CD. I love it. "I love your girl" is a hit. "Nikki" is a hit. "Purple Kisses" is super-sexy and "She Needs my Love" is a major hit and I also like "Fast Car". My absolute favorite song on the CD is "Love Songs". This is a baby-maker. The whole CD is good, I love to bang it my car, like I said. It makes me feel sexy and cool.

The Dream- Love/Hate4
This is easily the biggest surprise of the year for me. Because i honestly am shocked i even bought this album. I absolutely hated "Shawty Is A 10", i thought it was the dumbest song ever. And then it started to grow on me, and i had some extra cash after i bought Go, Mario's new album, By the way dont sleep on that album, read my review on that one if your interested, but anyway, i had some extra cash so i went ahead and bought the Dream. And i put it in my car, and as i was going through the songs, i started to notice there were only a few i didnt like, and there were some i REALLY liked. For instance, "Falsetto" now if that song ain't a babymaker than i dont think sex exsists because i called one of my girls right after listening to it, and lets just say we listened to the song a few times lol. But i really hope that they dont over play "Falsetto" like they did "Shawty is Da Sh%*" cuz i really like that song. I also really liked "Fast Car", this song sounds so much like something Prince would have done its not even funny. As a matter of fact, this whole album sounds like a Prince album with the electro/dance type of beats with the roaring thunder drums. And the reason why i was hatin on Dream so much was because i thought he couldnt sing for his life, and i still stick to that but like Ray J, he uses the voice he does have very well. And it helps that he is a great producer. I mean overall the album is nowhere near the caliber of Go, Exclusive, or even Veteran, but i was still very surprised and he definetly won me over with this album.

Over a year later...Still in Heavy ..Very Heavy Rotation5
Just like most I slept on this album at first but.... I finally got around to listening to this cd and like one person commented on earlier I can't put it down.... It's been 13 months and I'm still listening to this CD... I mean I'm a 35 year old professional and this cd brings back the things I did when I started college. A must have for the college crowd but if you are long past those days you can still find value in this youthful masterpiece. By the way if you remember what it was like to hear songs that were a little edgy without making you blush.....that day is brought back by the Dream...
