Product Description

What good could come of a bargain with the devil?

Burdened by her responsibility to the Order of the Cadre, Lady Dawn Maybank never imagines that a thoughtlessly spoken spell could conjure up her worst nightmare--a demon of vengeance. Or that this demon, Galen McManus, will propose a trade that could finally earn Dawn the respect she's sought her entire life. Because in exchange for the Demon Stone, a long-lost diamond for which her father has been searching his whole life, Dawn will spend five nights in the sinfully handsome demon's bed.

Little does Dawn know that Galen's real objective is to weave his own brand of cosmic justice. But then the sinister net the arrogant demon has woven traps his most unsuspecting victim yet--himself. And for the most unlikely of reasons...

New chapter for the multi-talented author Nina Bruhns5
Dawn Maybank was the bad girl of her family, so to speak. She was not perfect like her twin sister Aurora. Dawn had worked for Cadre taking care of the creature of night, before she had taken the job as head of Department of Anachronistic Research. She had wanted the job, or at least her father had wanted her to take the job, so she had. If she had not felt that she was inferior to her sister, she might not have been tempted by the daemon she met outside of the office building, and what he had to offer.

Galen McManus had something that Dawn wanted, and he was going to get her to make a deal with the devil to get it. Okay not the devil but a daemon, and he was going to get something in exchange. Galen had The Demon Stone which had been stolen from her family centuries ago, at the family estate, St. Yve Manor. Dawn's father had been looking for the Demon Stone all of his lifel if Dawn could give it back to him it would put her in good stand and give her a one up on Aurora. She would do anything for it. What would Galen's price be?

When Galen told Dawn his price would be her. For five nights he wanted to come to her and be in her bed and her body. Dawn didn't know what to say, could she do that? Yes, she wanted to make her father happy but..... To let Galen come to her at night she would have to let him kiss her and leave a little of his demon essence in her to create a bond so he could come to her at night. However if he left too much she would become a demon's familiar, then he could bend her completely to his will if he chose. She would have to be careful. But she would have what her father wanted more than anything.

Night Mischief is a new chapter for the multi-talented author Nina Bruhns. If you have already read some of Ms. Bruhns's work you know she is a great suspense author, and she has given us a few great ghost stories as well. Now she is giving us a paranormal to die for. We are given a great story as well as the Bruhns hot spice scenes that we have all come to love. If you have not read Nina Bruhns before, and you love paranormal, I suggest you grab a copy and find out what Night Mischief you can get into.

I just love it when bad boys go good!5
There's no badder bad boy than vengeance demon Galen McManus, and watching Galen's transformation as he discovers feelings he shouldn't have: guilt, honor, joy and love makes for a very satisfying romantic read.

Initially Galen is drawn to Cadre member and demon-hunter Dawn, through an inadvertent summoning spell strengthened by her secret feelings of jealousy and her dark desire for vengeance. Otherworldly and sensuous, dark gorgeous Galen, bespells Dawn and makes her an offer she can't resist. Ultimately Both Galen and Dawn get more than they bargained for.

Although I have enjoyed many of the Nocturnes, Night Mischief was truly a wonderful surprise. I was expecting a light paranormal romance, but this was so much more, mainly because the Galen and Dawn were so well fleshed out. And since the author, Nina Bruhn, allows us to view both Galen's and Dawn's inner most thoughts, we get an intimate view into their forbidden relationship as it develops from the sizzling initial attraction, into a deep and powerful connection that inspires demon Galen to sacrifice everything for the women he loves.

Night Mischief is the third book in the Dark Enchantment collaboration. So far all the books in the series have been good, but Night Mischief exceeded all my expectations. It was a wonderful romantic read and it isn't necessary to read the others to get full enjoyment from this one.

I don't usually read Silhouette but this one in the Nocturne collection was a really good sexy paranormal romance.
