Customer Reviews

Guide for beginners, But that is it4
This 624 page guide is very informitave and great for beginners. This review is coming from someone who has played pokemon games for years and is on the compettive scene. here are my thoughts:

Props:
Great cover, informative on how to play the main game, decent post-game info, great cost for the product

Slops:
Poor paper and image quality, does not give all the info about every pokemon.

So if you play this game for fun or is for a new pokemon player, i HIGHLY recomend buying this.
if it is for someone who plays Pokemon on a regular basis, i would not bother.

Hope this helps everyone out there

Dad's review5
My son (7) spoke in a language I did not understood. Realizing he was playing Pokemon Diamond and found out that at times he was running into trouble, not fully understanding the game. As father I have nothing with games but leaving your son alone is another thing. I've decided to play Pearl but as adult didn't have a clue where to start or where to go. At that time I've decided to buy a Diamond and Pearl Strategy guide in order to get some line in the game and to at least understand what it was all about. One thing led to another and together we played the game with so much more fun. He helps me and I help him when one of the battle trainers is a bit to difficult. Now we both play Pokemon Platinum with the help of this guide and we still have fun together. This book is so detailed, doesn't spoil your game (actually it explains things but you still have to do it yourself) and is an encyclopedia itself. Hours we spent in reading, explaining what it is all about. My son is learning English (we're Dutch) faster than I did at school (at 7 I didn't read a single English word but he does!). The book is styled in a pretty way, selfexplaining and garantees hours (days) of fun and sorts things out! It's value for money. One problem remains the same; my wife and Niels' mother doesn't understand us anymore when Niels and I speak Pokemon language to each other! This book does not solve that problem :-)

Pokemon Platinum Official Guide.3
This guide is just loaded with information and most of it is well organized. The only problem I have with this guide is that a lot and I mean "A LOT!!!" of the text is SO small that it's almost impossible to read without a magnifying glass.
