Product Description

Players assume the role of Spider-Man and re-live the movie experience through all new missions featuring unique enemies, objectives and combat maneuvers. Utilizing the touch screen and new controller layout, players can quickly swing, run, jump, solve puzzles, engage in combat and switch to an arsenal of moves on the fly, while patrolling and protecting the city of Manhattan from the nefarious Doc Ock. The top screen of the Nintendo DS displays the main action from a sidescrolling perspective (but rendered with polygons, instead of the sprite-based graphics in the Game Boy Advance Spider-Man titles), while the bottom screen opens up a special control interface that enables move selection and web slinging. Spider-Man 2 for the Nintendo DS offers 16 different levels of single-player action and supports the GBA cartridge port for "secrets" as a special bonus feature.

Awesome graphics, good fun.4
Spider-Man 2 is the best handheld game featuring spidey. It's a fun game that uses the DS's features to its advantage. The 2D, side-scrolling graphics are beautiful. Spiderman and characters are nicely detailed and the game runs at a quick, steady frame-rate. The dual screens are used in very creative ways. For example, missions are broken down into primary, displayed on the top, and optional secondary missions, displayed on the bottom.

On the critical side, it is very difficult and tends to be repetitive in its missions and searches. Usage of a mapping system on the bottom screen would've been great, but they neglected to incorporate this into the game, making searches tedious. I would not recommend this for the younger player due to the difficulty level.

Despite the negatives, if you are a fan of Spider-Man, you will enjoy this. Or, if you are only picking up one or two titles, this would be a good choice for one of those (make Super Mario 64 DS the other). All in all, it's nicely crafted, has fabulous graphics, and makes nice use of the touch screen.

Fun Spider-Man Game for a Handheld4
This is a fun game for the Nintendo DS, a must-have for any devoted Spidey fan. Note, though, that the game doesn't really take advantage of the DS's dual-screen or other very special features, but at least the graphics is FANTASTIC, nothing you've seen on a handheld before. The animation is silk-smooth and this really helps put you in the right mood playing as Spidey. The game follows a familiar action plot as the movie, and you got ample opportunity to kick butts.

Great graphics and fun gameplay make this a decent title for the DS. The price might be a bit too high for people not into spider-man. I also wish they had used the lower screen better.

Spider man 23
Spider man 2 is a decent game! It has some weak graphics, but fun play. There are neat skills to learn, and good boss fights. Now, I did not like the touch screen didn't play a big role. I would have liked so touch screen action, but not there. Also, it's hard to see where your going! you could web sling up a wall and hit some fire and hurt yourself. Ok game. You should pick it up!
