Excellent NDS Accessory - A must have.
This is the perfect accessory for your NDS. It allows for hands-free play of your NDS and it acts as a homebase for you NDS while idle. It even has adjustments for fixed vertical and horizontal orientation. It even works with the Armorlite shell.
If only HORI designed this thing w/ ergonomics in mind. I like to play my NDS while still in the stand's top portion. It allows for a larger area to grip onto. unfortunately the corners and edges can cause a bit of discomfort during gameplay.
Very Nice Option!
Fantastic Accessory! The Hori stand is extremely useful. Lean your DS in, pop it into position, and set it in a nice place next to your PC. This is the stand to have unless you're hooked on your LEGO homebrew attempt. The Hori stand is a perfect fit and provides the dignity your DS will enjoy while looking as important as the rest of your desktop gadgets!
My DS is encased in NERF Armor and the Hori stand still works well with this very thick-walled case. I have mine propped in/on the Hori stand and ready for nabbing my KORG DS-10 sequences. Thin-walled DS cases will fit snugly and fully-inserted. The DS power port and headphone jack are still accessible when in the stand. It appears that the generation 1 Nintendo DS units will also fit when the 2 inner L-brackets are removed. I do not have a Gen1 DS for a test fit.
The absolute only flaw is the chosen adhesive-backed foam pads which snug your DS while in the stand and used as foot pads. The foam is thin and the adhesive is weak so the pads do not stick well around the bends. This is a small defect though. One could super glue them into place or replace the pads with a better material. My 2 stands may have gotten hot in shipment causing the bond to weaken. Although, there is a hint of a part change that doesn't fit the design well. The foam foot pads cover the recess probably designed for a rubber insert foot. No biggie.
Highly Recommended.

My wrists don't hurt anymore!!!
I am so so glad I picked this up. After using my DS for about 3 days my wrists were really starting to hurt. I got this in the mail this afternoon and already my hands are not feeling the strain of holding the DS at odd angles. This thing is truly a must for any DS owner. The DS fits in it so securely and I really like how it will tilt at different angles for maximum viewing. What's also nice is that it can hold the DS vertically and also horizontally for games like Meteos or Hotel Dusk where you have to hold the DS on its side. I fully recommend that every singly DS owner purchase one of these!
Just be aware that this does not qualify for Amazon's free shipping and if you buy one sold from JR Music World they charge an awful lot of shipping! Still, it's worth it.
