Product Description

Jim Maynard's Celestial Influences 2009, now in it's 36th year, is an essential astrological reference. It is a complete astrological calendar with an ephemeris. It includes a basic introduction to astrology and information on how to use the calendar. Easy to understand explanations are listed for the moon, including void of course information, and the influences of the moon as it travels through the different zodiac signs and phases. A complete summary is given for each of the major planets, and their influences as they interact with each other, and the signs of the zodiac are described in detail. Each day gives lunar ingresses, lunar phases, void-of-course moon, planetary stations and ingresses, aspects, holidays, and celebrity birthdays. The zodiac months are highlighted with a colored tint and the zodiac illustrations are in full color. And it includes January through April 2010.

Also available in a Pacific Time version, a smaller version, the Pocket Astrologer, and two week-at-a-glance versions called Celestial Guide and Astrologer's Datebook.

Editorial Reviews

Review
Very simply, these are astrology's best calendars. --Jim Maynard

About the Author
Jim Maynard started studying astrology in 1971 when he moved to Sacramento. He published the first of his series of astrological calendars as the ''Astrologer's Calendar 1974'' while teaching a class on Astrology at California State University, Sacramento and working at the Tides Bookstore.
The following year he changed the name of the wall calendar to ''Celestial Influences 1975'' and introduced the ''Pocket Astrologer 1975.'' After complaints about the small type and lack of room for notes in the Pocket Astrologer, he started producing the ''Celestial Guide'' week-at-a-glance engagement calendar with the 1977 edition. A more compact version of Celestial Guide called ''Astrologer's Datebook'' was introduced with the 2002 edition.

The very first of his calendars was the first publication to include Void-of-Course times and the v/c notation for void-of-course. Celestial Calendars were also the first astrological calendars to include times of phenomena such as aspects, information about eclipses, and more.

The Best Astrology Calendar5
This is absolutely the best astrology calendar out there. I get at least two every year, one for the office and one for home. It is much easier to read than the others, and the birthdays on each day are fun. Couldn't live without it!

Jim Maynard's Astrologer's Datebook5
"Astrologer's Datebook is an astrological week-at-a-glance engagement calendar with moon signs, lunar phases, times of the void of course moon, daily aspects, and times when planets and the Sun change signs or direction.

Astrologer's Datebook includes an introduction to astrology, daily planetary positions, asteroid positions, occultations, meteor showers, details of eclipses, visibilities of the planets, blank horoscope charts, sunrise & sunset table, ascendant table, and an address book".

In my opinion, it's a great little book packed full with information. Plus each day gives both Eastern & Pacific times.
