Amazon.com Product Description
Head to the mountain with confidence with the Cuscus 6,200-cubic-inch internal frame backpack. Built to handle heavy loads without sacrificing the creature comforts, the multiday mountaineering pack is made of water-resistant polyester, and features a sizable 88 liters of storage. There's plenty of room for clothes and gear in the large main compartment, which offers top and bottom access. You can also store smaller gear in the variety of accessory pockets, which include one front zippered pocket, two large side zippered pockets, and a top lid pocket for items like a compass, maps, or raingear. And the bag easily accommodates a sleeping bag and pad via the sleeping bag compartment, which includes a detachable divider, and the extra straps on the exterior.

Most importantly for serious trekkers, the pack is comfortable and supportive, with a heavily padded back panel, an adjustable torso length, and padded shoulder straps, waist straps, and chest straps to stabilize the load. Other features include front tightening straps with square buckles for holding water bottles or accessories; side compression straps with buckles to help distribute the load evenly; and D-rings on the shoulder straps for hanging accessories.

Customer Reviews

Solid, with some flaws...4
I bought this backpack for a two day hike in the Superstition Mountains (Arizona). I was very pleased with the product but couldn't help but be annoyed with some of its features.

The Good:

It's HUGE! I was able to fit my share of the equipment and my sleeping bag INSIDE the backpack (and my sleeping bag is fairly large).

It's comfortable. Obviously lugging 50+ pounds up a mountain is hard, but this pack certainly helps out. A layer of padding is put in front of the frame to make it more comfortable on your back. The waist strap is also padded (make sure that strap is pulled tight!)

The Bad:

It has one large compartment, and four very small ones. Much of your gear will be thrown into one large space, making it difficult to retrieve a single item (unless it's on top).

The aforementioned main compartment does not have a zipper. It has a drawstring that will partially conceal the inside, and then the "flap" folds over the top. The flap has an elastic edge that stretches around the pack. The only problem is that unless the pack is stuffed full the elastic has nothing to stretch over, which leaves the inside unprotected. The top flap then buckles to the body of the pack.

The zippers are hard to open.

All in all, a good pack, especially for such a good price. I'm sure you could get a better product, but only if you're willing to fork over a lot more money.

Best Bag for the money5
Easy to carry and many options for people of different heights. The included rain shield is a definite plus. Zippers can be a little hard to open but I have to say it's the best pack I've ever owned!

Great bag5
I was a little skeptical becuase of how inexpensive it was (compared to other bags that seemed to be just like it), but I lugged it around Europe for 3 weeks and it worked great. Someone else mentioned the zippers were a little hard to zip, and they are, but I found that to be a very minor flaw. My traveling companion also got the same bag and liked his, too.
