This is not only the most entertaining one I've seen ("Brought to you by the letter P and the number 2"), but the best for stimulating interest and teaching very young children on this topic.

Buy used from: $11.37 A wonderful animated film of a West African legend about a cruel witch and a precocious child hero who frees her from the pain that causes her to be wicked. This is a real find. Some sequences are a little scary for younger children, Kirikou appears to drown at one point, and, for the prudish, there is some culturally accurate nudity.

Buy new: $11.66 / Used from: $7.98 A great introduction to Bollywood and the longest running Indian movie of all time. My kids absolutely love the colorful dance sequences and catchy songs and don't care that they can't understand the Hindi. The DVD is set up so that you can play just the songs. There is a brief fist fight at the very end that should be avoided but the rest of the film is G rated and charming.
