Customer Reviews

Brings memories4
This is a great collection of 80s New Wave music. If you want to get some of the best-known music of that type from that era, this really hits the mark. The remastered sound on these Gold-series packages is top-shelf too. Highly recommended.

British Invasion Part 25
For fans of the 80s Hip-O records does a great job with there "Gold" two disk collections. These CDs really do feature some of the best of the British 80s hits. I would also recommend as a compliment to this collection 80s Gold which takes some of the best of the best of the 80s from all genres.

For those of you who lived thru the 80s like me know that many British band (Tears for Fears, Duran Duran, etc) dominated the pop charts in the mid-80s with some great memorable tunes and with some exceptions these are the some of the top songs by these artists. I am kind of surprised though that they chose "Mad World" for Tears for Fears since that was never a hit over "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" which was the band's biggest most recognizable song. For those who already own 80s Gold this will not be a problem since "Everybody..." is featured on that collection and "Mad World" is a pretty good fan favorite.

80's Girl at Heart5
LOVE, LOVE the 80's! Brings me back. Great selection of songs in one package (2 CD's).
