Excellent resource
Mike Pacer, director of Light of the World Evangelization Ministries, wrote this guide to help men experience peace and, along with others in their lives, attain heaven. His hope is that this pocket-sized book of prayers will lead Catholic men to discover or strengthen their true identity as "beloved sons" of God. Pacer urges sons, fathers, and husbands to carry the book with them and use it "to make Jesus personal to you--the Lord of your time, relationships, work, leisure and treasures."

All of those topics are covered in the first chapter with reflections and original prayers for morning, lunch time, coming home from work, and night time. Here Pacer offers a brief examination of conscience focused on events of the day, spiritual failings, and primary weakness. "There is no reason to be embarrassed by your failings or to become despondent," he writes. Though we are naturally weak, we gain strength from being honest with ourselves and God. The examination covers four areas: charity, work or studies, purity, and prayer.

Other chapters address work, family, personal strength, sexual purity, and death. The final third of the guide is devoted to traditional prayers such as the Rosary and Spiritual Communion. The familiar acts of faith, hope, and love are each followed by a "simple" version. The simple Act of Hope is "Lord, I hope to live with you forever!" and the simple Act of Love is "My Lord! My Love! My Life!"

This little book is an excellent resource for individuals and those involved in men's retreats and faith sharing groups.

Good pocket size prayer book
This book is much smaller than I originally thought. However, good size to carry in pocket. I am very pleased with the variety of prayers, some old , many new.

Awesome Pocket Prayer Book
It is a great pocket size book just the right size to carry in a briefcase or jacket pocket. The prayers inside cover a variety of life situations. I can't see why any man or woman would have any problems loving this wonderful prayer book. Kudos to the man who can take time to pray three times a day even though the prayers are very short.

It would make a wonderful gift for any man in your life.
