I know Ken Craig, and recently heard him present much of what is in this book. He shows how the Mosaic animal sacrifices prefigured the gospel message realized in Christ, that sin necessitates death, but that Christ's death is credited to those who die with him. This idea that we must die with Christ is the part so often overlooked, and especially the question of when and how we die with Christ. Ken addresses this question head on. You can see and hear Ken present this material at

but for the price, I think you'll likely want to order the book also. I recommend it! - Jeff Smelser

Now you'll understand5
With this short book you get a comprehensive overview of the whole Bible in a "bite sized" dose. Finally, you can get the main idea without having to read volumes. Also, great illustrations help to communicate key points. If you're looking for a book that anyone can pick up and quickly understand the Bible, then this is it! And at the price they're charging, you just can't go wrong.

Getting to the Heart of the Matter5
One of the difficulties in explaining the Gospel is to get the reader to take hold of and understand the "heart of the matter." Ken Craig, in his "The Big Picture of the Bible", has done a truly remarkable job of presenting, in a very concise manner, the essential and elemental truths that are the foundation for our realization of God - his holiness, his love for man, his justice and his merciful plan for the salvation of man. His systematic and heartfelt approach will help any truth-seeker in his efforts to understand the essentials of the Gospel and why it is indeed the Good News for man.

In this book, from the very beginning of man's existence (in the garden) to the very climax of all humanity (the sacrifice of the very Son of God), the writer sticks to the heart of the matter, taking the reader on a journey that will result in a clearer understanding of sin, its deadly consequences and, finally, how we, through the sacrificial blood of Christ, can be reconciled with and be acceptable to our Creator.

In no other book that I have read have I seen the fundamental truths of Gods word set forth so clearly and so succinctly. I recommend that all truth-seekers read this book and make a diligent effort to understand the "light" that shines forth from its pages. Then go back and read the Bible over again with your heart and spirit open to the pure and unadulterated light of the truth that has been revealed to us from our eternal and loving Father.

Finally, for those who desire to teach others the good news, I believe this book will be of great assistance for both personal and classroom studies. It can be a very useful tool in helping others make a successful journey through this life and then, most importantly, on into life eternal as a forgiven and glorified child of God.
