Product Description

Thoroughly updated for its Second Edition, this review guide gives students practice and confidence in answering the five types of "alternate-format" questions used on the current NCLEX-RN(R)--multiple-response multiple-choice questions, fill-in-the-blank items, chart/exhibit items, drag and drop, and questions based on illustrations. The book contains 250 alternate-format questions covering all the major topics on the exam--fundamentals, medical-surgical, maternal-neonatal, pediatric, and psychiatric nursing. Questions appear in the left-hand column and answers appear in the right-hand column. Answers include rationales for correct and incorrect responses, as well as the applicable nursing process step, client needs category and subcategory, and cognitive level. Test-taking tips are also included.

new format NCLEX-RN3
This book is one of the only one's of its kind. It is very informative but it lacks in the number of questions. I am sure there will be many more of the "alternate- item" NCLEX books coming out. I say if you can wait, then wait, but if you have got to see the "alternate- item " format for the new NCLEX then go buy it, it moderatly priced at 14.99 new

Great Help4
It offers great questions in many subjects, however, it can offer more. The answers and rationales are also provided. The new format of fill- in-the blanks and point it out in the pictures are a great help.

Great Book5
I just took the NCLEX on July 30th, and I think this book helped a lot, eventhough I didn't get a whole bunch of "New Style" questions. I think the questions in this book were difficult, and made you priortize actions you are going to take with the patient.
