Leon Shargel, PhD is vice president of biopharmaceutics at Eon Labs, Inc. Wilson, NC., Susanna Wu-Pong, PhD, RPh is an associate professor in the department of pharmaceutics at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia, Andrew B.C. Yu,PhD, RPh, formerly a professor at the Albany College of Pharmacy, is currently with the FDA in Rockville, MD.

Difficult Text
I really dislike this textbook. The topics are often convoluted and difficult to understand, the examples do not always make sense, and the review questions take forever to figure out. This is somthing I would buy only if I already understood the mathematics and general information behind Pharmacokinetics and Biopharmaceutics. Being new to the field, this book was a poor choice.

Nobody edited this book
There are so many mistakes in this book, average 1 per page in the math formulas, in the answer pages. Things don't match up. Did anyone bother editing this book? I can't believe thenumber of mistakes.

Generally useful but maybe not for the clinician.
This text has good information; however, constant manipulation of the formulas without explaination makes this text hard to follow. For someone trying to review calculations they have not studied in a while, this text skips the commonly forgotten math (integration) hindering complete understanding. I was often questioning for whom exactly the book was designed. This text has excellent problem sets. Having studied with one of the coauthors, I was a little suprised as her classroom notes would have made a superior text.
