Review
zircon (aka Andrew Aversa aka the guy who has done several awesome video game remixes) has been kind enough to send me a copy of his newest album for review, Antigravity, also available on iTunes. At 13 tracks and 51 minutes, I was quite impressed with zircon s newest music. Two of the tracks feature Jillian Goldin s vocals, Antigravity and Breathing You In , and are the centerpieces of this album displaying zircon s skill for vocal trance styled music. Some of his music is obviously inspired by various forms of modern video game music, with Depth Charge sounding like it d fit in the Undersea Palace from Chrono Trigger and Throwdown sounding like a post-Sonic Adventure Knuckles/Chaotix theme. The album as a whole takes you on a wild energetic ride. and is well worth the price of admission: zircon s Antigravity has earned the ATPA Seal of F***ing Awesome. --http://adterrasperaspera.com/blog/2007/05/13/review-of-zircons-new-album-antigravity/
Review
The music found on this album exudes of evidence that the supposedly stagnant trance genre has massive room for expansion. This album is not for those for the weak of musical vision and should find enjoyment with anyone with a matured understanding of music. --http://cdbaby.com/cd/zircon3

A Pleasant Surprise
The only real low point of the album is, ironically enough, the title track. It's not bad, but it's a bit of a let down and somewhat cliché compared to "Breathing You In", the other vocal track. Most of the compositions are instrumental. They vary greatly in mood, bat are all patently artificial in sound structure and often surprisingly complex. I found this group (person?) through my Pandora account and went on to purchase more of their albums. Antigravity is a great starting point- it's accessible to fans of different genres.
Sweet sound, exciting and upbeat!
I first heard one of Zircon's songs on Pandora.com and it really stood out to me from the mass of technolyzed songs. I listen to all types of techno such as Daft Punk, Crystal Method, Prodigy, and Hybrid to name a few. But, I really liked how Zircon took a lot of what I liked and combined it into a fresh sound. The sound quality is really fantastic and the songs are exciting and upbeat. And for $8.99 for instant download, its a pretty sweet buy. I will definitely check out more of what Zircon has to offer and you should as well!
wow
This music is urban-slick, driven, smooth, sophisticated, and has the most amazing vocals I've heard since ... remember Celine Dion's song about Titanic? The combination is like fire and ice: great album.
