Fire and WaterFire and Water by Free

The highlight. One of the greatest british rock statements of all times. perfect balance among the musicians, deep emotional, bluesy, soulful. contains the highlights "Fire and water", "Oh I wept", "remember", "Mr, Big", Heavy load" and "all right now", their biggest hit. If they 've only released this record they would still be eternal.
Tons of SobsTons of Sobs by Free
Buy new: $13.99 / Used from: $24.97
The beggining, a very hard rockin´ album, heavily influenced by blues giants. Great guitars and vocals, very impessive vibratos from Kossoff rising force.
FreeFree by Free
Buy new: $14.98 / Used from: $8.62
Different from the hard blues sound of the first record, this is more "clean" very under Cream influence. Some dark and melodic tunes as: "broad daylight" and "Woman".

Another turning point after the huge success of "All right now" and the amazing performance at the Isle of Wight festival. Now the band is very influenced by The Band and produces a laid back album travelling through folk tunes. A nice record despoite some flops. great songs like "the Stealer", "Love you so", "Ride on a POny", "HIghway song". last great Free studio record

Free at LastFree at Last by Free
Buy new: $14.98 / Used from: $8.07
After a quick departure of some members, they got it together, mostly to help Kossoff's increasing addction problems, but the effort is a flop, low inspired record. only good tracks: "Goodbye" and "Little bit of love"
HeartbreakerHeartbreaker by Free
Buy new: $14.98 / Used from: $6.80
With a new line up, the last Free record is half good (original A side), half a kind of sleepless people symphony. A melancholic farewell

The Free StoryThe Free Story by Free

Despite the sound quality, it´s a great place to start. Contains rare tracks "just fot the box" and "lady"
Molten Gold: The AnthologyMolten Gold: The Anthology by Free
Buy used from: $18.99
Another option for those like me, who cannot afford the box set. The sound quality is much more improved than "fre story", but the musical selection is a little worse. Excellent alternative version of "the stealer", with more guitar and a endless guitar solo at the end.
Kossoff Kirke Tetsu & RabbitKossoff Kirke Tetsu & Rabbit by Kirke, Tetsu & Rabbit Kossoff
Buy used from: $7.99
a lost gem, originally released in 1971, far better than Free at last released in the same year. Featuring future Free musicians Tetsu and Rabbit.

Back Street CrawlerBack Street Crawler by Paul Kossoff

Back in shape (at least when it comes to playing the guitar), Kossoff's post-Free project highlight. originally released in 1973.
Bad CompanyBad Company by Bad Company
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $4.73
From FREE´s rough days on the road to huge mega mass stardom. Rodgers and Kirke decide to leave blues behind and build a superband basic hard rock straight beat riff style, along with Mick Palphs (ex- MOtt the Hoople) and Boz Burell (ex-King Crimson). originally released in 1974, the end of Free era for good.
